Social promotion in Russian Federation makes the world better
Social promotion is not new in Russian Federation as it may seem. Even many years ago social advertising took an important place in usual life. All Russians who lived in Soviet times remember social booklets and video spots where concepts of responsibility were declared. The following mottos were very popular: “Save our nature, it’s our mpther”, “Matches are not toys for girls” etc. All those social ads were supported by Soviet government and created by governmental institutions. Nowadays everything has changed and we may find many different social advertising which is sponsored by Russian government, non-governmental organizations and private persons. Lots of money is spent every week on various social campaigns which are supported by popular media campaigns with video spots, social posters, logos etc.
Many international foundations work on the territory of Russia and a great deal of social advertisments from different countries are available at the moment in Russia. I am sure that it is really importans as we have a unique opportunity to use best Ameriacan experience in the field of social advertising as our own traditions in this field are very weak but we have lots of thoughts and creative directors who can make all them effective. That’s why different competitions of social advertising are so popular nowadays in Russia and lots of professional advertizing companies took an active part in such kind of events and if you enter tube sites you can look for many social spots shooted by the leading local firms but usually the visualization of social ideas leaves much to be desired. Still there are quite a lot of interesting social ads on alcohol addiction and other issues. But certainly, we should always keep in mind about the current situation in Russia and the main problems which the government has to deal with. One of such problems is demographic decrease as too many people die in Russian Federation and they know that they should force families to give more births. As an example of social advertising which concentrated on demographic difficulties we can state on social posters which were placed in Moscow metro with a lady with three girls on her knees. This post is more uncertain rather than gives answers as there is no man on this poster and the woman looks disappointed.
I think that social advertizing in Russia just starts its way and in the nearest future we will see lots of great examples of video spots and social posters as well as complicated social campaigns.
