Doing any in-house electro repairs needs not so much knowledge but needs concentration and following some fundamental energoproekt rules.
It is important to be aware of your local regulations conserning electrical activities.
In many towns, there are limitations on the work an unlicensed person may do… even the owner of the house. There are also differences made between what an unlicensed homeowner can do and what an unqualified tradesman can do.
There are also distinctions made within types of electrical work. Appliance setting-up, for example, is always not considered disallowed electrical work if the conventional wiring and connection was made by a authorised electrician.
Local codes composed due to and are often based on local concerns. Highly populated areas, such as big cities, strive to have electrical codes severely limiting homeowner electrical activity because errors can put in danger hundreds or thousands of city-dwellers! Community codes are often less strict, making allowing more owner flexibility and intervention in the process. Local environmental situation such as the possibility of earthquakes, heavy T-storms or hurricanes, the level of the water table, amount of rainfall and general humidity, soil conditions, and the types of building materials used|available also influence the local electrical code.
Of all the repairs that you may do around your house, the most potentially dangerous errors are in faulty electrical wiring! Countless house fires are initiated by unlawful wiring techniques, substandard materials, faulty extension cords, or defective electrical appliances. The problem and the trap is in the fake simplicity of electrical repairs. Small mistakes can lead to quick and severe output. Poor wiring techniques can cause shock hazards that may not be evident till the accident happens.
Quality|Best electrical activities|works depends on consistency and uniformity. That is why there is an electrical code, so everybody is familiar on the right and wrong way to perform an electrical repair and tuning. If every household was wired according to a random standard, how could anyone without paranormal abilities figure out how to troubleshoot a circuit?
We are not trying to prevent you from educating and enriching your skills. We wouldn’t have little chance of doing it, anycase. But you should know by now that we are a strong advocate of independence and self-reliance. But if one person destroyed his home down because he was thinking that he could do that electrical job, and was not sufficiently knowledgeable to do the job|task right… well, that is not what we had in mind when started this energoproject. We have seen some electrical wiring horrors throughout Russia, and major share|most were done by homeowners who thought that doing electrical wiring|work was no more deserving of care than cleaning the backyard!
